Collaborative audiovisual performance with JMU Symphony Honors Concert
Generative illustration and real-time audiovisual system
Conducted by Dr. Kira Omelchenko
This collaboration transforms orchestral performance into a generative visual environment based on the theory of three lines and three intersections, a structural model that underlies the formation of all visual forms. From this simple geometric premise, an evolving system of lines and nodes generates patterns that crystallize in response to musical dynamics and orchestral texture. The visuals unfold in real time during the live performance, translating sound into a process of spatial formation and dissolution. The project explores how computational drawing and symphonic structure can converge to reveal the shared rhythm between visual crystallization and musical composition.
